As AmeriCorps Week is celebrated across the United States, the Rural Health Network of South Central New York is proud to recognize two of its outstanding volunteers, Mitchell Brooks and Kevin Davidson.

Mitchell Brooks serves as the AmeriCorps Program Coordinator for the Rural Health Service Corps. In this role, he has been instrumental in ensuring that the program runs smoothly and that volunteers have the support they need to make a positive impact in their communities. Mitchell has a passion for service and is always looking for ways to engage with volunteers and help them succeed in their roles.

Kevin Davidson is a Farm to School Public Health AmeriCorps Member, and his work is focused on improving the health and well-being of children in rural communities. He has been working with local schools to increase access to healthy, locally sourced food and to provide education about healthy eating habits. Kevin’s dedication to his work has been truly inspiring, and he has made a real difference in the lives of many children in the area.

Recently, Mitchell and Kevin had the opportunity to appear on TV during AmeriCorps Week, where they shared their experiences as AmeriCorps volunteers and highlighted the impact that the program has had on their communities. They spoke about the importance of service and how it has shaped their lives, and they encouraged others to get involved and make a difference in their own communities.

The Rural Health Service Corps is proud to have Mitchell and Kevin as part of its team, and they serve as examples of the dedication and commitment that all AmeriCorps volunteers bring to their work. As we celebrate AmeriCorps Week, we recognize the important role that these volunteers play in improving the lives of those around them, and we encourage everyone to support this vital program.
