Rural Health Network of SCNY proudly presents Dispatches from the Road to Value: a series of interviews with the leaders of small and rural community organizations and service providers on their experience with DSRIP (New York State Medicaid Redesign) and preparing for Value Based Payment. Funding for this series is provided by the New York State Health Foundation and by Care Compass Network. Introduction
Interviews with Rural Health Network of SCNY’s staff about their experience with DSRIP and an introduction to the purpose and content of the video series.

Episode 1: Getting Started
An interview with Alexis Pleus, Executive Director of Truth Pharm, a small all-volunteer organization that accessed DSRIP resources to develop capacity, improve data collection and gain experience in working with healthcare partners.

Episode 2: Opportunity Knocks
An interview with Sharon Chesna, Executive Director of Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network of SCNY. This Maternal and Child Health regional organization utilized DSRIP resources to take ownership of their data and strategize for the future.

Episode 3: Weighing Costs and Benefits
An interview with Jackie Leaf, Executive Director of Seven Valleys Health Coalition and Tamie Reed, Executive Director of Otsego County Office for Aging – both of whom took a deliberate and measured approach to the DSRIP and Value Based Payment opportunities.

Episode 4: Networking for Collective Impact
An interview with Derrik Chrisler, Vice President of Administration with Human Service Development and founding member of the Finger Lakes Independent Provider Association.

Episode 5: Funding the Mission
An interview with Ruth Roberts, Director of Community Services at Chenango County Mental Hygiene and Behavioral Health Services. This rural county service provider describes the benefits of DSRIP and Value Based Payment as tools to support the agency’s mission.
